Bicycling Boys

Daddy found a new addition for his bicycle so that Griff could come along for a ride - needless to say Griff LOVES it!! He doesn't want to get out of it even if it is pouring rain.

Griff got a 4-wheeler for his birthday and figured out how to ride it right away...watch him go.

Canoeing Adventures

Since we live right new the Columbia River we figured we better get with the program and get on the water.  What better way then to rent a Canoe for the day.  It was lots of fun - and lots of work for Daddy who did the most rowing.

Griff wanted to reach in and touch the water - which was not great for the balance of the canoe.  He did find a cozy spot to nap in the front of the boat after we stopped on land for a snack.

Argh Matey - Pirate Festival Here we come

So Pirates are a major THING in Oregon and we were so lucky to have the annual pirate festival in our little town of St. Helens this year...something we could not pass up for sure.

Daddy and Griff had lots of fun getting all dressed up in pirate garb and mommy loved walking around the booths and checking out the food.

Birthday Boy!!!

I cannot believe my little guy is already 1 YEAR OLD!!! Wow it goes by fast...Griff had so much fun during his birthday festivities...

We started off with strawberry waffles, topped with whipped cream and a candle - washed down with chocolate milk...he was in heaven.

Then we had the birthday party with lots of family, cousins (YEAH!!!) and friends.  It was lots of fun and great food - thanks Janis & Dan :-)

Griff thought the presents were cool but needed a little help opening them.  He did like to give hugs to everyone to say THANKS for his awesome presents.

 Grandma and Grandpa Ingram got him a cool balance bike...he cant quite reach the ground but thinks he is hot stuff trying to ride it.

 Mommy and Daddy couldn't resist getting him his own 4-wheeler....and go figure he already knows how to hop on and ride it by himself.  Too cute!!!

And of course what is a party with out a cake - Griff loved his peanut butter / banana cake with a motorcycle on top.  He was a little shy about digging in and preferred to use a fork - Go Figure!!

Sailing...on Bellingham Bay

During our visit to Bellingham we got a chance to catch up with our friends - the Huntley's!!! It was so great to see them and spend some time on the water and on there own little island...

 Griff of course LOVES the boat, the only he cant figure out is why he cannot get directly into the water.

There is another family that lives on the island that has a pet Goat and pet Emu - I loved this picture both dad's holding the babies and the animals following.

And finally on the way back check the crab pots - WAHOO some yummy crab just in time for dinner.

Adventure to Long Beach, WA

We decided to take a day trip over the Astoria, OR bridge to Long Beach, WA...the beach was a little chilly but we had a great time.

I dont know how he does it the water was cold to me but he goes for it no problem.
Shannon found the world's biggest corn dog - between the 3 of use we could not finish it.
Here is the bridge, it was REALLY long.
