How to get a new floor...

First...Buy a house with cream carpet in the main living / walking area,  then get 2 dogs and for the heck of it add in 1 PUPPY then host lots of fun events, followed by winter snow mixing into the dirt you might call a back yard.  All that combined makes lovely two tone trail thru the beautiful CREAM carpet.  Anyway, next step is to find what you like, price it out and then while the boyfriend is relaxing and reading a book on a beautiful sunday morning, secretly sneak out, move all the furniture and start ripping up the CREAM carpet. (and by luck get his 2 co-workers in town to help for the day...Thanks Todd & Stevie!!!) Funny how it works...2 days later I have an almost complete beautiful Antique Hickory laminate wood floor.  In just a couple days when the trim gets here and we rent a compressor to nail it in it will be done...hmm what do I want done next.  Paint the bathroom, re-tile the fireplace, so many to start :-)
